Unit Work Page - Final.
After being given feedback from our client we made changed to our designs to reflect their wishes and ideas. The main changes where to include instant links to the feedback page rather than clicking from one page to another; to fix this we added a small pop-up type bar that would appear as you hovered over the image, giving you the option to either select the image or go straight to the feedback page.
We also included new items in the header specifically "+upload" and "FAQ" to include details that the clients mock up had. To bring in the rating system about the users feedback I added in a small box, similar to the one the client mocked up, beside the username so even when away from their profile users could see this rating.
Now we have these pages finished we are finalising what we shall say Friday morning during our pitch and creating the presentation to go alongside it.

Gallery of Users Final Mock Up
This is the final mock up for the gallery of users. Hovering the mouse over a picture would bring up the Leave Feedback tab, which users would click on and it would bring them to the page to leave feedback. Clicking on the photo would bring you to the portfolio the photo is located in, and clicking on their username would bring you to their profile.

Prezi Presentation
Just finished the prezi presentation for Friday's final client meeting. Looks good and group is sure of what is going to be said and when. Everything good to go for Friday.

Final Profile Page
Final profile page.
Now has a twitter/facebook feed which was added in response to the feedback from the first client meeting. Also has a 'leave feedback' bar that appears on images to give straight access to the feedback page for that piece of work.

Sorry for the lack of updates!
The client provided us with a mock up of the feedback tool, and we each uploaded a piece of work and provided feedback on how the tool worked. By Friday some of the faults had been corrected.
We were also given pointers on how to pitch, and we have spent the majority of our time rehearsing our pitch and fixing/adding small details in our design.

After The Discussion
Having the talk with student designers last week cleared up my query of signing in without Facebook or any other social networking sites as I don't have it. I still live in the dark ages and so do some other people who do not wish to sign up to these sites.

From Friday 17th
Seems the update on Friday didn't post so I'll write it again.
We spent the day reworking into our designs to include the details that Students Designers felt we should use, so that feedback could be left faster and so that the website was linked in a better way.
After talking over how everything would link in and changing our designs, Innes came and gave us a presentation showing us previous pitches to give us some pointers for when we pitch in a couple of weeks.
We are now planning how we shall carry out the pitch and what we will say so we are ready for the pitch.

Pitch
Today we pitched out idea to Student Designers on our version of the feedback tool; they seemed rather impressed and suggested we include instant links to the feedback pages and somehow incorporate facebook/twitter/blog streams in our design.
We are now discussing this feedback and seeing how we shall carry out the request/suggestions and use them in our design.

Logo!
We also came up with a simple logo for the group to help introduce ourselves at our client pitch.
We kept it in black and white as we felt it looked more professional and would be easier to replicate on any company stationery.

Preparation for our first pitch!
Now that we have our designs finalised, we are deciding on what to say on Monday so that we are prepared for our first client pitch. On Monday morning we will spend time before the pitch getting our materials ready and by going through our presentation.

Rough Site Map
We drew up a simple and rough idea of how the site would link page to page to get from the Feedback Me home page to leaving feedback for a designers piece of work.

Selected Unit Gallery
To the side would be details of the unit work and what the aim of the brief was, plus links to other units from the designer to save the user constantly going back and forth to the same profile.

Final Mock-Up for the Profile Page
The final mock-up for the profile page.
Features links to the feedback me homepage, the users twitter, the users facebook, and a fourth link that would be for any other blog the user may have.
The page has a description of the user, which would be written by them.
There are also thumbnail links for the users most recent pieces of work and to the actual full units that would contain the work.

Feedback page final mock-up
The final mock-ups for the feedback page.
This is where users will actually provide feedback on each others work.
The 4 thumbnails on the left side of the main image of the page are links to the feedback pages for the other pieces of work for the selected unit.
The main image has a pop-up bar that contains the link for the user to leave feedback. When selected it will cause the comments (on the right of the first image) to move down revealing the box to enter comments. Also if the user has put in any specific comments questions that the want answered they will drop down from the enter comment box and allow the user to select the options.
As the comments are supposed to be clean and contained on the page while not affecting the work on show they will scroll separately from the actual page.
Below the main image there is a link back to the users profile and a description of the work available.

Monday Meeting
Had our first client meeting today. Went well, definitely clarified certain questions we had.
We now have a clear idea of where we are going with the design. We have chosen the pages that we are all going to design and now have to get first versions of the work, as well as our presentation to the client, ready for next monday.

For Monday!
For Monday morning we will each have our completed 4 A3 sketches on our interface layouts, feedback logo and any other development required. In the morning we will discuss which we feel is the strongest and pitch it to the client.

Scratch That Last One
After hearing back from the client saying that the feedback tool has to be integrated into their site, we have had to re-think our ideas. Priorities right now are: layout, logo & basic site-map, which we are all contributing to. We are also considering an app for mobile phones (but it is not set in stone)

Minutes from meeting.
We have continued to work on sketches and developments.
We discussed the contents and layout of the feedback tool. We also discussed whether it was an independent site, or to be integrated into Student Designers' current site. So not to stop progress we have decided to continue as if it were an independent site, and sitemaps were drawn to get a clear layout of the site.
We have contacted Student Designers via email to clear up these small details.

Bringing the ideas
Currently contemplating designing a logo for the feedback tool. Leaning towards yes.
Also working through ideas for the sites layout.
